Rigidity Test on Car Body and Parts

Strength is the residual deformation capacity for the car parts to resist to prevent fracture or to exceed an allowable limit once loads are applied to them. Therefore, strength is an important indicator to measure the bearing capacity of the car parts. Rigidity refers to the ability of not being deformed easily when the car body and parts receive ordinary external force. In other words, it is the ability to restore the original elastic deformation.

For instance, the car body is subjected to various loads during use. During this period, the car body should be able to complete the load-bearing function as a structural body. Neither plastic deformation nor cracks and damage can occur in it. Thus, the car body is required to have the necessary static strength and rigidity.

Based on the obtained test data from SE-86H High-speed Static Strain Test and Analysis System, the testers analyze the data to find the parts with insufficient rigidity, and to help the car designers to improve and optimize the whole car design. For example, the lightweight design of car body is to reduce the total weight as much as possible while ensuring its strength.

Dynatronic SE-86H System adopts a distributed design and supports channel expansion to thousands of channels. It can complete the physical quantities such as stress, load, and displacement required for static strength and stiffness tests. It is also equipped with data acquisition and analysis software to record the test in real-time data and analytical test results.
