The Water Control Project of Central Guizhou is the first large-scale, trans-regional and trans-basin, long-distance water transfer project in Guizhou province. The project mainly focuses on irrigation, urban water supply, power generation, water supply for county and township, drinking water for people and livestock, and other comprehensive utilization.

The dam is the concrete face rock fill dam. The highest dam is 162.7 meters high; the checked flood level is 1333.52 meters; the designed flood level is 1331.83 meters; the normal water level is 1331 meters; the dead water level is 1305 meters; the total storage capacity is 10.89×108 cubic meters. The hole size of the arcuate service gate in flood discharging tunnel is 5.5m×6m. The designed water head is 74m, the total water pressure is 39685kN, and the floor elevation is 1260m.

In this project, Dynatronic uses the hydraulic structure defect detection system to test the time average dynamic water pressure and fluctuating pressure characteristics of the service gate for systematical hydraulic model study.

Then, the testers obtain the distribution law of time average dynamic water pressure and the statistical characteristics of fluctuating pressure characteristics under different operation conditions, and synthetically analyze the measured data. Therefore, it will provide scientific reference for the optimization design of the service gate.
